Hello! I’m Nikole Murphy, an Irish-born designer who moved to the United States at 17. In 2013, I left Co, Cork, Ireland for Nashville, TN. A year later, I attended SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) with a BFA in Sequential Art and Minor in Toy Design, where I found my passion for storytelling through my artwork.

Since 2022, I’ve been a Product Designer (Now Senior Product Designer) on the BlueJ Team (Inventor Relations) at Jazwares in Sunrise FL. I specialize in transforming spark-of-an-idea inventor concepts into market-ready products.

My design philosophy is rooted in my identity as a collector, first and foremost. By designing through the lens of the "kidult" experience, I bridge the gap between nostalgic child-like wonder and modern play, ensuring every product resonates with the fans who love them most.

As a lifelong enthusiast of wildlife and media, my creative process is deeply rooted in the natural world. Growing up surrounded by a diverse array of animals—from horses to chinchillas—I developed a keen eye for biological detail. Today, I translate that passion into my work by volunteering at wildlife rehab centers and studying animal anatomy in the field. By understanding the mechanics of real-world creatures, I am able to design fantastical beings that feel grounded, believable, and relatable. Much like the design philosophy of Pokémon, I strive to bridge the gap between reality and imagination, creating everything from intricate sculptures to immersive wearable costumes that spark a sense of whimsy.
